🌌 The World

Three hundred years ago, humanity deployed Aetherion—a miracle radiation-absorbing material— to protect Earth from a catastrophic gamma ray burst. The shield worked.

Then the irradiated material fell back to Earth as deadly meteorites, devastating civilization and permanently altering life itself.

In the ruins of the old world, three kinds of humans now survive:

  • Normal Humans — Relying on skill, training, and scavenged technology
  • Aetherion Tolerant — Able to channel Aetherion at great personal risk
  • The Ascended — Born with supernatural abilities, hunted by those who fear them
